Agreement

These Terms govern access to the 8-fit website and private beta app. By using 8-fit, you agree to follow these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

If applicable law requires a parent or guardian to authorize your use of an online account, you may use 8-fit only with that authorization.

The service

8-fit is an iPhone-first gym log with customizable workouts, exercise history, character and gym customization, and visual progression for eligible quests. It includes an optional paired Apple Watch companion. The current app is an unfinished, invite-only TestFlight beta. Features, workout content, availability, and saved development data may change before public release.

8-fit does not currently sell memberships, subscriptions, downloadable content, or other paid features. Separate purchase terms will be presented before any paid offering becomes available.

Accounts

An account is required. You are responsible for providing accurate sign-in information, protecting your credentials and devices, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access. Do not share passwords or authentication links.

Your optional player name is presentation only and is not a login credential. You may sign out or request permanent account deletion through the app’s account settings.

Fitness and safety

8-fit provides general fitness organization and game-like motivation. Exercise animations are movement references, and strength levels are estimates for personal tracking. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, physical therapy, personal training, or a promise that any workout is appropriate for you.

You are responsible for choosing exercises, equipment, loads, technique, surroundings, and effort appropriate to your circumstances. Stop if you experience pain, faintness, unusual shortness of breath, or another concerning symptom. Seek advice from a qualified professional when you have questions about an injury, medical condition, exercise readiness, or safe technique.

Do not rely on streaks, rewards, progression, or reminders as a reason to continue an unsafe workout.

Acceptable use

You may not misuse 8-fit, attempt to access another player’s account or data, interfere with security or synchronization, reverse engineer protected services where prohibited by law, automate abusive requests, upload malicious material, or use the service for unlawful activity.

Optional Social is for adults 18 and older. By opting in, you agree to the community rules. Share only content you own or have permission to use, respect others’ privacy, and do not impersonate others, harass people, post prohibited explicit or violent material, or distribute spam or scams.

You retain rights to your posts. You allow 8-fit and its service providers to store, process, moderate, and display them to the audience you select to operate Social. Content may be held for review or removed, and social access may be restricted or suspended for rule violations. Reports and appeals are available in the app; support options are listed on the support page.

Ownership

8-fit’s software, characters, gym environments, visual design, writing, trademarks, and original content belong to the developer or applicable licensors. These Terms give you a limited, personal, revocable right to use the available service; they do not transfer ownership.

You retain rights you may have in the optional information you enter. You allow 8-fit to process that information only as needed to operate the service under the Privacy Policy.

Third-party services

8-fit depends on services such as Apple, Google, Supabase, Resend, and Cloudflare. Their own terms and policies may apply when you use their services. 8-fit is not responsible for outages or changes controlled solely by those providers.

Changes, suspension, and availability

Because 8-fit is in private beta, access may be changed, suspended, reset, or discontinued. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, comply with law, or maintain the service. Where practical, we will avoid silently destroying synchronized player information.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the private beta service is provided “as is” and “as available” without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular fitness goal. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.

You remain responsible for your physical activity and use of gym equipment. 8-fit is not responsible for losses caused by ignoring safety warnings, misusing the service, sharing credentials, or using an unfinished private build outside its intended testing purpose, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as 8-fit changes. Material updates will be identified by a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-app notice before continued use.
